Estonia's first pig-grunting championship was held in Tartu, with strikingly personal performances from each contestant.
Estonia held its first ever pig-grunting championship in Tartu last weekend. The competition challenged participants to imitate a pig's grunt as convincingly as possible.
The performances were surprisingly varied. According to the jury, some entries had 'a structure reminiscent of opera singing'.
The winner received a small cash prize and, according to a local paper, an honour that won't soon be forgotten. Organisers are already planning next year's contest.
